Broadcast and Die

Do you recall that Gaza story on how a female journalist should dress?

Here:-

ABOUT 50 female TV journalists marched through Gaza City yesterday to protest against a fundamentalist group's threat to behead them if they did not don modest Islamic dress
.

and here:-

An obscure Islamist group has threatened to behead female television broadcasters if they do not wear strict Islamic dress. The threat to “cut throats from vein to vein” was delivered by the Righteous Swords of Truth, a fanatical group that has previously claimed responsibility for bombing Internet cafes and music shops.

...the Righteous Swords of Islam, has threatened to “slit the throats” of women presenters on Palestine Television if they do not cover their hair...“We will cut throats, and from vein to vein, if needed to protect the spirit and moral of this nation,” the statement said. The group also accused the women broadcasters of being “without any … shame or morals.”

“It is disgraceful that the women working for the official Palestinian media are competing with each other to display their charms,” it said in a leaflet distributed in Gaza at the weekend. “We will destroy their homes. We will blow up their workplaces. We have a lot of information about their addresses and we are following their movements.”

Well, it's already started but in Afghanistan:-

An Afghan radio journalist has been shot dead in Afghanistan in the second fatal attack on a newswoman in less than a week. Zakia Zaki, who ran the private broadcaster Peace Radio, was killed by multiple gunmen in her home north of Kabul, in the central province of Parwan, late on June 5...she had received threats in
the past in connection with her work at Peace Radio, which she had
managed since 2001...Zaki's slaying comes less than a week after the murder of a popular 22-year-old television presenter, Shakiba Sanga Amaj, who was also shot dead in her family home in the capital. Two years ago, in May 2005, a presenter on the private Tolo Television, was shot dead in her Kabul home in a case that remains unsolved. Shaima Rezaee had been criticized for what some regarded as her Western style and appearance.
