Hung up in the Old City of Jerusalem during the six-month long strike between April-October 1936.

that flag could have come from Arabs connected to the Communist Party

a. To HN: the only stones connected to me are the ones that are thrown at me by my peaceful neighbors.

b. To E: of course anything is possible. But hundreds of flags were hung out throughout the Old City market bazaar that day and the Arab Communists party in 1936 was weak; it was the more nationalists that dominated the public square of local Arab politics.
